The hamlets are small inhabited in interior of the vale, fact that it re-spills in the quality of the waters and it turns to the river Leizaran in one of less contaminated of Gipuzkoa. This is reflected also in the life wealth piscícola: trout, eels, piscardos, madrillas and salmon fries recently introduced.
The rural beauty of this scenery hides flora species little common (hepatic and peatbog vegetation); as well as of fauna (outrage of the Pyrenees, roebuck, wild cat, merman pirenaico, etc).
The cultural heritage of the area is also remarkable, standing out cromlechs, dolmens, iceboxes and foundries.
